Alena Antalová - 1st place in the category Best Female Acting Performance in the GRAND Festival of laughter in Pardubice for the role of Elisabeth Garaurd - Larchet in comedy What´s in a name.

Petr Hloušek – in June 2014 this Brno City Theatre scenographer was awarded a Gríman Icelandic Performing Arts Award for the set for the production The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, in August 2014 he then contributed to the creation of the set for the Icelandic production Revolution in the Elbow of Ragnarr Agnarsson Furniture Painter on Broadway.

Petr Gazdík - Czech Theatre Award for Feat of the Year 2012 for directing the musical Little Shop of Horrors.

Stanislav Moša obtained the Divadelní noviny Prize in 2010 for his work directing the musical Spring Awakening, and in 2007 was given the Borštnik Award for Aesthetic Breakthrough at the famous Borštnik Theatre Festival in Maribor, Slovenia, for his direction of the musical Cabaret.

Erik Pardus gained the 2007 Czech Theatre Award for his exceptional acting performance in Miterrer’s drama In the Lion’s Den, where he played the role of Arthur Kirsch.

In 2004 Brno City Theatre’s new Music Theatre building gained first place in the competition for the best building in the South Moravian Region, and was also Building of the Year 2004. It also gained an honourable mention in the TOP INVEST Best Investment of the Year competition.

In 1997 Brno City Theatre received the City of Brno Prize in the Dramatic Arts category for its significant contribution to the dramatic arts.

The musical Midsummer Nights’ Dreams by the authors Stanislav Moša and Zdeněk Merta was named “Production of the Year” by the Czech Literary Fund in 1991.

Brno City Theatre artists regularly place highly in the TOP 100 Brno Personalities opinion poll (e.g. Stanislav Moša, Jef Kratochvil, Zdena Herfortová, Alena Antalová, Petr Gazdík, Zdeněk Junák). Brno City Theatre itself as an institution also places highly in this survey.
