A famous fairytale musical for adults
The American musical of the 1940s is well-known in this country thanks to a film starring Fred Astair and Petula Clark as well as to its stage version performed by Voskovec and Werich. Not only about love narrates the story, but also about arrogance and recklessness, the play is filled with fairytale mystery: bringing a few supernatural characters (and even one thing which many a person would undoubtedly like to possess – a pot, by the help of which everybody’s three wishes come true) as well as fantastic things to happen on stage. Finanian’s Rainbow was prepared by Divadlo Andreja Bagára v Nitre (The Andrej Bagár Theatre / Nitra) as a Slovak premiere in 2006.
