This great epic operetta by Viennese classical composer Carl Millöcker will attract theatre-goers not only via its plot, which is set in Italy, but also with its beautiful melodies. High interpretative demands are placed upon the singers and the choir in this piece, which is the main reason why Gasparone doesn’t often appear on the Czech stage. Spectators will be pleasantly surprised by the comic situations which develop around the existence of the “mysterious robber Gasparone”.
