A homage to Karel Jaromír Erben, conceived very skillfully at the Semafor theatre in Prague, and to Jiří Suchý and Ferdinand Havlík and in fact the whole of Semafor.
He who does not know Erben’s Kytice cannot claim that he knows Czech literary history. It is certainly the best known work by Erben! The Bouquet, The Water Sprite, The Midday Witch, The Golden Spinning Wheel, Treasure, The Wedding Shirt, The Daughter’s Curse, The Pigeon… The ballads are based on folk tales, and they leave few people without emotions… Come and see how the students of the Janáček Secondary School of Performing Arts in Ostrava have managed to handle them!
