A musical performance on the motifs of Jean Effel and Roark Bradford’s work, suitable for the whole family
A cartoon book series about the creation of the world, the author of which was Jean Effel – the famous French illustrator and publicist – was the inspiration for the script. All his stories came to life in E. Hofman’s film in the year 1957, and the earlier born will certainly remember the kind God, naughty little devils and keen-to-learn angel. Another source of inspiration is the very popular humorous book Ol’ Man Adam an’ his Chillun, which offers a charming view of biblical stories from the perspective of the common man. Biblical characters find themselves in classic everyday situations, encountering typical human troubles and misfortunes. The humorous approach to things and the musical aspect are the most expressive elements of this production, which aims to address spectators from 8 years of age, as well as adolescents and adults.
