Astounding tap-dancing show
Spectators will experience an adrenaline shock! The mysterious magic of WINGS lies in a combination which cannot be seen in our country very often. Some well known and successful dancers have decided to show what they are really made of. Tap-dancing as a dance form is definitely not dead! Talent and enthusiasm combine with professionalism and a quality dance technique which has been polished with many famous tap-dancers from all over the world.
The show is freely inspired by elements of the story of the birth of WINGS. Project WINGS literally nails its spectators to their chairs with its magical combination of movement and modern rhythms.
The experimental musical styles which will be heard during the evening will immerse the audience in the rawest form of modern tap-dancing, which walks sassily through an environment full of the restless rhythms of an industrial town. A desire to express emotions through step and rhythm remains in the world and on the stage.
This independent performance, which theatre-goers could see over several seasons on the stages of the Bez Zabradli, Ta Fantastika and Kalich Theatres, ranks among the most interesting stage projects of contemporary Czech theatre.
Among the members of the Wings group you will see: Honza Bursa, Vašek Muška and also Pavel Strouhal, who is the choreographer of the musical productions Chicago, Cats, West Side Story etc. Mr. Jiří Korn is a permanent guest.
In the case of Wings, their ideas do not stop with their expression in the newspapers. Spectators at the famous Fringe theatre festival applauded their talent in Edinburgh in 2007. This festival has been hosting the crème de la crème of world theatre for many years.
